Cooling tower BMG – 210М

A block type BMG-210M micro-cooling tower of the new generation consists of the modular metal carcass. It has sheeting, a water-distribution system, a plastic drain pan, and highly effective polymeric sprinklers and drift eliminators. Slow-go, two- speed motor fan with a noise absorbing body and with improved aerodynamics. The ventilating fan is equipped with high-profile polished blades made of the multilayer fiberglass, manufactured per aviation technology. It is a low noise fan. The air is supplied by the ventilating fan in a mode of regulating of turns that allows minimizing electric energy consumption. The electric motor is three-phase, slow-go, sizing is selected as per the calculations of power required, it has a full protection from corrosion and moisture penetration inside the motor, it is cooled by the outdoor air, windings and bearings have protection against high temperature, vibration monitoring is provided as well. A special mode for windings heating and drying is foreseen to preserve insulation in safe condition at lengthy downtime.

In this particular case the design solution excluded: expensive concrete basins typical for standard cooling towers, the cooling towers proper, pumping house with in ground machine room and concrete inlet chambers with obsolete pumps.

City of Revda, Nizhneserginsk ММZ. Water block capacity on the bases of BMG-210М mounted on the roof is W = 57Мegawatts. Floor space F=140m2 Q=2450m3/hr.

The 4-section BMG-210 М1 cooling tower (F = 44 m2) in place of the 4-sections F=64m2 (F=256m2) after its revamping in line with the new technology.
